Terms of Service

By using Context you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. Context is provided by Snugsy.

You need an account to use Context, created through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the Apple ID used to sign in. One account is for one person; please do not share it.

Context is free for your first 30 days with everything unlocked. When the trial ends, continuing to use the app costs $14.99 USD per year. Prices in other countries are set by Apple from that amount and vary by storefront — the exact price you will be charged is always shown in the App Store before you confirm. We will remind you two days before the trial ends.

The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account is charged when the renewal is confirmed. You can cancel or manage the subscription at any time in your Apple account settings — cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the current period ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy, not by us. If a purchase has gone wrong, contact Apple Support.

The explanations, examples, etymologies and quiz questions in Context are generated by AI. They are written to be accurate and are useful for building a working understanding of a word — but AI can be wrong, and occasionally is. Cards are a starting point, not a source to cite.

Nothing in Context is professional, legal, medical or financial advice. Please check anything that matters against a proper source.

Please use Context for what it is — saving and understanding words and ideas you are curious about. Do not use it to generate abusive, harmful or illegal content, to attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts, or to resell what it produces as your own service.

Card generation and narration have daily limits per account. These exist to keep costs sane and to stop automated abuse; ordinary use will not come close to them.

The words you save and the context you add remain yours. You give us permission to store that text and to send it to the services described in our privacy policy so the app can do its job. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not sell it.

We aim to keep Context running, but it depends on services we do not control and may occasionally be unavailable. We may change or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the app entirely, we will give notice and will not charge for a renewal that we cannot honour.

You can stop using Context at any time — cancel the subscription through Apple and email info@snugsy.ca to have your account and saved words deleted. We may suspend an account that is being used in breach of these terms.

Context is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those your local law requires and does not allow us to exclude. To the extent the law permits, our liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

If these terms change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Context after a change means you accept the updated terms.
